Republicans Shouldn't Defend Jewish Students, Where Have the Tough Jews Gone?
When your enemy is fighting each other, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. Let these Marxist Institutions burn baby burn.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson found himself in a pickle this week, Polly Pockets is in dire straits. First on the agenda: a controversial move that left many scratching their heads in disbelief. Johnson, supposedly a member of the Republican Party, made the decision to support and pass yet another hefty billion-dollar aid package to the enigmatic money-laundering hub, doing business as Ukraine. And if that weren't enough, the package seemed to have a secret side hustle of its own, doling out billions to NGOs for what can only be described as the resettling global criminals into the friendly confines of American neighborhoods.
But wait, the plot thickens. In a move that can only be described as a perplexing case of political acrobatics, Johnson found himself venturing into the lion's den of Columbia University, the Morningside Heights headquarters of Hamas, Surrounded by a bevy of Anti-MAGA New York Representatives, Johnson took to the podium to deliver a speech that completely pointless but perfect for the man Mike Johnson has become. Amidst the chaos of trust-fund jihadists, whose cacophonous cries seemed to echo into the ether of incomprehensibility, Johnson valiantly called for the resignation of the Columbia University President and staunchly defended the progressive, anti-MAGA, Jewish students of the institution.
But why, oh why, would Johnson subject himself to such a circus of contradictions? Columbia University, with its leftist leanings as conspicuous as a neon sign in Times Square, hardly seems like fertile ground for Republican sympathies. Even the purportedly beleaguered Jewish contingent, quick to decry threats of violence, finds itself at odds with Johnson's political bedfellows. They are, at best, card-carrying progressives, if not bona fide Marxists. One can't help but wonder, where were these champions of justice when Grandma was being hauled off to the clink for a stroll through the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol? The deafening silence of the ivory tower intelligentsia in the face of Biden's Justice Department crackdown speaks volumes.
In the grand scheme of things, should Republicans really be bending over backward to come to the aid of Columbia and its ilk in dealing with their Hamas sympathizers? Perhaps not. In fact, one could argue that the appropriate response might be to pull the financial plug altogether and subject their hefty endowments to the tax man's scrutiny. After all, these so-called "protests" are merely an extension of the indoctrination peddled within the hallowed halls of academia, a Marxist echo chamber if ever there was one. And let's not kid ourselves—the humanities, with their penchant for navel-gazing and esoteric pursuits, hardly seem like a sound investment in the future of civilization. Joseph Stalin's quip about the indispensability of academics, save for the physicists, suddenly seems less like hyperbole and more like sage advice.
But perhaps the most compelling argument for taking a page out of Uncle Joe's playbook lies in the moral bankruptcy of these self-professed Marxist scholars. Leeches, parasitic in their occupation of housing while brave veterans languish on the streets, they embody the very antithesis of noble academia. And when they're not busy in canting chants of annihilation, they're shedding crocodile tears over police crackdowns—a spectacle made all the more ironic by the fact that said crackdowns are often at the behest of Democratic overlords. The optics of college students channeling their inner Nuremberg rallies in an election year? Suffice it to say, not exactly a winning look.
Why is it the responsibility of Republicans to deal with the Hamas Student wing? In all frankness, the antics of these little twerps and their disdain for Jews hardly register on my empathy radar. Let them indulge in their fantasies of Jewish annihilation and the demise of Israel to their heart's content. Not to cast a wide net over the Jewish people, but some of the main antagonists of MAGA - Rep. Jamie Raskin, Rep. Dan Goldman, Rep. Jared Moskowitz are Jewish. That is not to say that their Jewish ethnicity is inherent to their anti-MAGA stance, but just because there is a higher level of antisemitism currently happening that doesn’t mean MAGA should come to the defense of their enemies. If someone is willing to go after your enemy, let them. The level of hatred that these Hamas students have for the Jewish people is equal to the level of hatred these politicians have for MAGA. It should be said that prior to October 7th these politicians would proudly stand with these very same students if they were protesting Donald Trump or MAGA. In fact, today they would stand with them as long as the protest don’t involve Israel.
Let the Jews Deal With It
While governmental suppression of speech is a big no-no, that doesn't mean ordinary folks can't shake things up a bit.
Cast your mind back to the 1930s, when New York City served as a breeding ground for American Nazis. The German American Bund, a motley crew of pro-Nazi German Americans, pledged allegiance to their fatherland's newfound antisemitic regime with gusto. Despite the protective shield of the First Amendment, which safeguarded their right to spew nonsense, these Nazis weren't prepared for the likes of notorious Jewish gangster Meyer Lansky. Sure, you're entitled to your opinion, but try expressing it with your teeth missing.
In cahoots with Judge Nathan Perlman, who only had one humble request—to not kill anyone—Lansky and his merry band of avengers laid siege to these American Nazis with relentless ferocity. They lurked outside Bund meetings, lying in wait like vengeful spirits, ready to unleash a torrent of pain upon the unsuspecting attendees. Baseball bats met skulls, bare knuckles collided with teeth—these Jews weren't about to let their people be trampled upon. And it wasn't just confined to the Big Apple; being a Nazi in public soon became a guaranteed way to get a thrashing.
It would be nice for the reincarnation of Meyer Lansky and his cadre of "tough Jews" to administer a long-overdue reality check to these Hamas LARPing students. Alas, it seems the breed of Jews willing to throw down has become an endangered species. Today's Jews, like Bill Ackman, would rather shower these institutions with billions of dollars and then take to Twitter to bemoan their newfound antisemitism. I'm not expecting Ackman to pick up a bat and start swinging, but perhaps he could take a leaf out of Judge Perlman's book and organize a modern-day showdown reminiscent of the battles of yesteryear. Surely, there are still some tough Jews out there waiting in the wings, primed and ready to make their mark. Now's the time to step into the spotlight.
Use This to Destory These Marxists
Republicans would be ill-advised to rush to the aid of their adversaries. The reality is, these very students who claim to feel threatened by these protests would gleefully chant "Death to America" and wouldn't bat an eye in defense of any Republican cause. Instead of extending a helping hand, Republicans should view these events as an opportunity to dismantle these institutions. Any actions taken should not be cloaked in the guise of protecting Jews or defending Israel but rather as a strategic move against the Marxist ideologies pervasive within these institutions and their inhabitants.
It's crucial to bear in mind that these students are the future occupants of positions of power. They will wield influence as prosecutors, judges, congressional staffers, and corporate board members, leveraging their power to advance their ideological agendas. They are not allies; they are adversaries poised to undermine conservative values at every turn. Therefore, there should be no sympathy extended to them.
But if Jews decide to take matters into their own hands and fight back like the Jews of the 1930s, we should support such actions and only hope that its live-streamed for all to see.
As an American Jew, lifelong Republican, and MAGA/Trump supporter since 2015 I wish I could dismiss your whole editorial, but I can't. I have always said that mainstream American Jews are their own worst enemy politically because they have elevated Liberalism to a religion above their Judaism.
Their overwhelming support for the Democrats and Biden has made the bed they now lay in.
But I would argue the following. Meir Lansky's toughness may be missing from American Jews, but it is in full force in Israel and Israelis. The world still expects the "passive compliant" Jew and the fact that a collection of Jews on a tiny sliver of their historical homeland dared to say "Never Again" and fight back with a ferocity and determination not seen for thousands of years since the Maccabees brings out the antisemitism.
A day doesn't go by that I don't question why are the Republicans so supportive of the Jews given that almost exlusively vote for their nemesis? Why are conservative pundits so pro Israel?
The answer is because it is the right thing to do! The Republicans and trump are moral, plain and simple. Democrats and progressives are amoral.
More and more Jews are taking the "Red pill" and finally opening their eyes and leaving the Democrat plantation.
Continue to support Israel
Continue to call out the vile hatred of the progressives
Continue to fight the left even if leftist Jews benefit from that despite themselves.
Because it is the "Right" thing to do!!!
My father, who lived in East Harlem, 103 St, and 3rd Ave, right above Yorkville which was a big German neighborhood, and a center for Bund activities, was part of the Jewish Cadres that shut down the the Nazis in Manhattan. He said that Lansky, Dutch Schultz, and Bugsy Siegel supplied money, trucks, weapons (baseball bats, black jacks ) and supervision " Don't hit them in the head with the bat, hit them on the shoulders and break their collar bones, then tap on the teeth, we don't want them dead, just really in pain." My father said the cops just watched it . The Jews were protected from on high,. A few years later my Dad ended up as a combat engineer in the 25th Armored Engineer Battalion attached to The Sixth Armored Division of Patton's 3rd Army and got to actually kill Nazis,
